Halloween is coming to Walkden, and we’re not doing things by halves.
On Saturday 31 October, from 11am to 3pm, Walkden Town Centre is turning into something a little bit spellbinding for Walkden’s Mystical Halloween. It’s a free family day out with live entertainment, creative activities and a very good excuse to dress up.
A little Hocus Pocus, live in Walkden
The star of the day is The Sanderson Sisters Tribute. If your household has watched Hocus Pocus every October for years (we suspect plenty of you have), this one’s for you. The sisters will be taking over the town centre with live performances and plenty of wicked Halloween fun.
It’s an all ages event, so you can bring the little ones, the teenagers who pretend they’re too old for it, and the grown-ups who secretly love it most. Fancy dress is very much encouraged.
Spooktacular activities
Alongside the live entertainment, there’s plenty to get involved with:
- Mini tarot readings: pop along and discover what the cards have in store. A small charge applies for these.
- Bead and charm bracelet making: create something magical to take home.
- Halloween face painting: choose your spooky transformation.
- Mystical Halloween crafts: get creative with some spellbinding makes.
All of the family activities are free. The only thing with a charge is the tarot.
Make a day of it
Walkden Town Centre is full of independent shops, so it’s the perfect excuse to stay a while. Pick up something for the Halloween party, treat yourself to a bite to eat, or get some Christmas ideas started while you’re here. Browse the shops before or after the entertainment and see what’s new.
