What’s happening on Armistice Day at Walkden?

A short Service of Remembrance will be held at Walkden Town Centre, led by Rev Alan Kennedy.
The service is open to everyone.
Come as you are and stand with your neighbours to remember and reflect.

When does the service start?

Tuesday 11th November at 10.45am.
Please arrive a little early so you can find your spot and settle before the service begins.

Where should I meet?

Meet in front of Lowrys Café (new location: Upper Lady Harriet Walk).
Look for the group gathering near the café, and you’ll be in the right place.

How can I take part respectfully?

Arrive on time, follow the lead, and keep your phone on silent.

Get there a few minutes early.

Stand with the crowd and follow the guidance from the leader.

Keep voices low and phones away during the service.

Wear a poppy if you can.

Offer a kind word to veterans and families.
