Brandan, founder and owner of Sticky Black Tarmac opened his first ‘Local’ Record store on October 1st 2021, located within our Pembroke Hall Market place. Having spent too many years in a regular job which he didn’t enjoy, he bit the bullet and decided to follow his passion and love for all things vinyl.
As a fairly new player in Manchester’s burgeoning record store scene, Sticky Black Tarmac will be participating in its very first record store day this Saturday (23rd April)! The store will open at 8am and has armed itself with some of this year’s best releases from artists such as Taylor Swift, Fontaines DC and Childish Gambino.
Brandan says ‘This will be my very first Record Store Day; Taylor Swift is the ambassador this year and she has a 7” single which will be available on a first come first served in store on the day. Other big releases include artists like Stevie Knicks, The Cranberries, The Cure, Sam Smith, Mel C, Madonna, the Offspring, to name just a few.’
