Walkden residents are invited to take part in the Walkden In Bloom community litter pick, helping keep Walkden town centre clean, welcoming and full of pride.
This friendly monthly event brings together volunteers from across the local community to remove litter, improve the appearance of the high street, and support the ongoing Walkden In Bloom initiative.
Whether you live locally, work in Walkden, or simply care about the environment, everyone is welcome to join.
We have seen how small groups of volunteers can make a big difference to the look and feel of the town centre. Spending just a short time helping to tidy public spaces can help create a cleaner, greener Walkden for everyone.
Upcoming Litter Pick Dates
The litter picks take place every second Saturday of the month.

More dates will continue throughout the year as part of the Walkden In Bloom environmental programme.

Meeting time is 10:30am.
From here, volunteers will be organised into small groups to clean different areas around Walkden Town Centre and the High Street.
Equipment Provided
You don’t need to bring anything with you.
All litter picking equipment will be provided, including:
Litter pickers
Gloves
Bags
After the clean up, volunteers are invited to enjoy free refreshments, giving everyone a chance to chat and celebrate the difference we’ve made together.
